Peter Vaughan (born Peter Ewart Ohm; April 4, 1923 – December 6, 2016) was an esteemed British character actor whose prolific career spanned over six decades, featuring more than 200 screen credits. Known for his powerful screen presence and distinct gravelly voice, he specialized in playing imposing, often menacing, figures on both stage and screen.
