Pil Joo Park
Biography
Park Pil-joo is a South Korean screenwriter known for his work in television dramas. He has written stories across romance, family drama, music, and historical genres.
His notable writing credits include Tomorrow's Cantabile (2014), First Love Again (2016–2017), and Bloody Heart (2022). Tomorrow's Cantabile, adapted from Tomoko Ninomiya's manga, follows students at a Korean music academy, while First Love Again centers on former lovers who reunite after eight years.
Park received wider recognition for Bloody Heart, a 2022 Joseon-era historical romance starring Lee Joon, Kang Han-na, and Jang Hyuk. The series explores the political conflict between King Lee Tae and Yoo Jeong and aired for 16 episodes on KBS2.
His other writing credits include House of Bluebird (2015), Marry Me Now (2018), and the KBS Drama Special Monster (2014). He won the Best Screenplay award at the Korea Drama Awards in 2018 for Marry Me Now.
Through his long television career, Park Pil-joo has become known for developing character-driven stories that combine romance, family relationships, emotional conflicts, and historical drama.
