P. Kalaimani
Biography
P. Kalaimani was an Indian writer, producer, and director who worked extensively in Tamil cinema. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he contributed stories, screenplays, and dialogues to over 100 films.
He rose to prominence through his collaborations with director Bharathiraaja, notably on films such as 16 Vayathinile, Mann Vasanai, Gopurangal Saivathillai, Muthal Vasantham, and Ingeyum Oru Gangai. His work earned him the prestigious Kalaimamani award from the Tamil Nadu state government.
In addition to writing, Kalaimani also produced and directed several films, including Therkathi Kallan and Manitha Jaathi. He worked with leading actors such as Sathyaraj and Vijayakanth, and his final project as a dialogue writer was Kuruvi. He produced many films under his banner, Everest Films.
