P. Nandakumar
Biography
P. Nandakumar is an Indian film producer associated with Malayalam cinema. He is best known for producing several acclaimed films, particularly during the late 1980s and 1990s.
His notable production credits include Thaniyavarthanam (1987), directed by Sibi Malayil and written by A. K. Lohithadas; Soorya Manasam (1992), directed by Viji Thampi; and Yaadhavam (1993), directed by Jomon.
Nandakumar also produced Madhuranombarakattu (2000), directed by Kamal and starring Biju Menon and Samyuktha Varma. The film won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film.
Among his most celebrated productions is Thaniyavarthanam, a psychological drama starring Mammootty as Balan. The film received several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Malayalam for Nandakumar.
His production work is remembered for supporting Malayalam films with strong themes, memorable characters, and socially relevant storytelling.
