Biography

Pooja Gandhi is an Indian actress, producer, and politician who has worked predominantly in Kannada cinema. She has also appeared in films in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Telugu. She became widely known after the success of Mungaru Male (2006).

Early Life

Pooja Gandhi was born on 7 October 1983 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. She grew up in a Punjabi family and later moved to Mumbai, where she completed her education before entering the entertainment industry.

She initially worked as a model and appeared in television commercials before making her acting debut.

Acting Career

Pooja Gandhi made her acting debut in the Hindi film Khatron Ke Khiladi (2006). Her breakthrough came the same year with the Kannada romantic film Mungaru Male, directed by Yograj Bhat and starring Ganesh.

Mungaru Male became a major commercial success and established Pooja as one of the leading actresses in Kannada cinema. Her performance as Nandini brought her widespread recognition and made her a popular figure among Kannada audiences.

She subsequently appeared in films such as Milana (2007), Krishna (2007), Manmatha (2007), Taj Mahal (2008), Anu (2009), Gokula (2009) and Dandupalya (2012).
