Pravin Thakkar
Biography
Pravin Thakkar died in Bombay on October 27, 2019. At theatres, under the auspices of Durga Pictures, Pravin Thakkar made several movies, including Naya Zaher (1991), directed by Jyoti Swaroop; Yeh Majhdhaar (1996), directed by Esmayeel Shroff; Prem Mhanje Prem Mhanje Prem Asta (2013), directed by Mrinal Kulkarni in Marathi; and Jagat Jogini Maa Khodiyar (2006), directed by Amar Solanki in Gujarati; and Yeh Rishta Na Tootay 1981, directed by K. Vijayan in Hindi. H
e formerly funded Mahesh-Naresh and Mohan Segal's Gujarati and Hindi film productions. In the 1990s, he also released many movies on the Bombay circuit. He once oversaw about 70 movie theatres.
