Biography
Ravi Shankar P. is an Indian film actor who predominantly works in Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. Juggling between several South Indian movies, he rose to prominence with his performance in the 2011 blockbuster Kempegowda starring Sudeep.
He is a highly sought-after dubbing artist who has worked in numerous Telugu and Tamil films, winning several Nandi Awards for Best Male Dubbing Artist. He debuted with the Telugu film Gorintaku in 1979 and then went on to do notable work in movies like Vettaikaran (2009), Happy Happy Ga (2010), Kote (2011), Bachchan (2013), Manikya (2014), Plus (2015), Shivam (2015), RX Soori (2015), and Love U Alia (2015).
He had several releases in 2016, the prominent ones being Jaggu Dada, Nataraja Service, Mungaru Male 2, and Santhu Straight Forward, and was nominated with SIIMA Award for Best Actor In A Negative Role for the movie Mukunda Murari.
His 2017 acting venture includes the Kannada action film Hebbuli starring Sudeep, under the direction of S. Krishna, and also the Kannada thriller movie Dandupalya - 2 starring Pooja Gandhi in the lead role, under the direction of Srinivasa Raju.
He is associated with the bilingual movies Rajaratha and Rajaratham, directed by Anup Bhandari. His other projects include Ayogya (2018), Victory 2 (2018), Ananthu v/s Nusrath (2018) Seetharama Kalyana (2019), Yajamana (2019), Sinnga (2019), Kurukshetra (2019), Odeya (2019) and Utraan (2020). His 2021 release includes Roberrt, an action thriller film directed by Tharun Sudhir.
