Biography
Prayag Raj, also credited as Prayag Raaj, is an Indian film writer, who started his career as a dialogue writer with Phool Bane Angaare in 1963 and went on to write dialogues for films like Jhuk Gaya Aasman (1968), Bhai Ho To Aisa (1972), Roti (1974), and Dharam Karam (1975), which marked his debut at the screenplay for films. His career`s breakthrough with the 1977 multi-starrer Amar Akbar Anthony, which was a commercial and critical hit.
A career spanning over three decades, some of his notable works are Parvarish (1977), Dharam Veer (1977), Suhaag (1979), Naseeb (1981), Coolie (1983), Mard (1985), Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswathi (1988), and Ajooba (1991). His other projects include Gurudev (1993) and Deewana Mastana (1997).
