Priya Banerjee
Biography
Priya Banerjee is an actor working primarily in the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu film and television industries. Banerjee was born and raised in Canada, where she obtained an International Marketing and Computer Science degree. Her interest in theatre brought her to India, and she enrolled in an acting course in Mumbai.
After returning to Canada, Banerjee submitted a video audition and was selected to debut in the Telugu movie KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid (2013) alongside Adivi Sesh. She was nominated as the Best Debutant Actress at the South Indian International Movie Awards (2014) for her role in the movie.
Banerjee's second movie, Joru (2014), was directed by Kumar Nagendra and starred Sundeep Kishan and Raashi Khanna. The next year, she acted in Asura (2015), directed by Krishna Vijay and Vasant Kumar Jurru.
In 2015, Banerjee broke into Bollywood cinema with the crime thriller Jazbaa (2015), directed by Sanjay Gupta. The film featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, and Shabana Azmi. In 2017, Banerjee appeared in movies like 2016 The End (2017) Dil Jo Na Keh Saka (2017), and the TV series Rain (2017) and Social Series (2017).
Banerjee has since acted in movies like Chithiram Pesuthadi 2 (2019), Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna (2019), 3 Dev (2019), and Dheet Patangey (2020).
She also featured in several TV series like Fuh se Fantasy (2019), Hello Mini (2019), Love Sleep Repeat (2019), Bhanwar (2020), Jamai 2.0 (2019), and Bekaaboo (2019).
In 2020, Banerjee was ranked 22nd in the Times of India's 'Most Desirable Women List'.
As a trained and professionally skilled Kathak dancer, Priya has participated in many dance shows in Canada.
