Biography
Priya Bhavani Shankar is an Indian television presenter and actress, widely known for her lead role of Priya Arjun Swaminathan in the Star Vijay soap opera Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai.
She started her career as a software engineer with Infosys Limited, which she quit to become a news presenter on Puthiya Thalaimurai TV, and followed this up with her breakthrough role in Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai.
During this time, she appeared as a celebrity host on popular shows like Jodi Number One, Airtel Super Singer Season 5, and Airtel Super Singer Junior, and also hosted Filmfare Awards South (2015), all aired on Star Vijay.
Her 2017 movie venture includes the romantic comedy film Meyaadha Maan, under the direction of Rathna Kumar, starring Priya in the lead role opposite Vaibhav Reddy. In 2018, she appeared alongside Karthi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in Pandiraj`s Tamil action drama romance Kadaikutty Singam.
