Priya Seth
Biography
Priya Seth is an Indian cinematographer, who began her career in the industry as an assistant cameraperson and clapper on movies like Earth and Holy Smoke. Priya collaborated with the renowned Indian director Raja Menon on three films, including her debut - the critically acclaimed independent film, Barah Aana, currently streaming on Netflix and Amazon.
In 2016, she worked with him on Airlift, India's historic Kuwait evacuation retold as a one-man story produced by Cape of Good Films, Emmay Entertainment, and T-Series. The movie was one of the biggest hits of that year, and Priya received a lot of appreciation for the raw and real appeal she brought to the film.
In 2017, she was the cinematographer on the Hindi feature, Chef starring Saif Ali Khan, Padmapriya Janakiraman, and Chandan Roy Sanyal which is an official remake of Jon Favreau's Chef. A trained scuba diver, Priya is known for her expertise in underwater cinematography across the country for films belonging to Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.
She forayed into the series format with a ZEE5 Original Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone and has also filmed the underwater sequences for Mardaani 2. She is currently working on her next feature for a leading producer.
