Punit Malhotra
Biography
Punit Malhotra is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his work in Hindi cinema. Born on 13 July 1982 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, he comes from a family associated with the film industry. From an early age, he developed a keen interest in filmmaking and storytelling.
Before making his directorial debut, Malhotra worked as an assistant director on several notable films, gaining valuable experience in various aspects of film production. His directorial debut came with the romantic comedy I Hate Luv Storys (2010), starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor. The film received positive responses from young audiences and established him as a promising filmmaker.
He later directed Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (2013), featuring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan. In 2019, he directed the action-romance film Student of the Year 2, starring Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Ananya Panday. The film further strengthened his association with mainstream Bollywood entertainment.
