Biography
Quoc Dang Tran is a French screenwriter and producer renowned for his diverse contributions to television, spanning genres from comedy to horror and drama. He began his career writing for French television, contributing to animated dramas such as "The Bureau" and comedies like "Call My Agent!" and "Kabul Kitchen" (2014).
In 2018, Tran gained attention as the screenwriter and creator of the crime drama miniseries "Nox," which delves into the gritty underworld of Paris. The following year, he co-wrote the Netflix horror series "Marianne," which follows a successful French horror author confronting the manifestations of her creations.
In 2022, Tran co-wrote "Parallels," the first original French-language drama on Disney+. The series tells the story of four teenage friends whose lives are turned upside down by an experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, leading them into parallel dimensions.
Most recently, Tran created and wrote "Drops of God," a multinational and multilingual television drama series that premiered on Apple TV+ in April 2023. Based on the Japanese manga series of the same name, the show centers on a competition for the inheritance of a vast wine collection between an heiress and a star student of a renowned oenologist.
