Raageshwari Loomba Swaroop, born on July 25, 1977, in Mumbai, is a multifaceted Indian personality known for her contributions as a singer, actress, television host, and, more recently, as a mindfulness speaker.

 

 

 

Early Career and Rise to Fame:

Raageshwari embarked on her career as a teenager, making her film debut in the 1993 film Aankhen. She quickly gained recognition, appearing in other notable films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), Zid (1994), and Dil Kitna Nadan Hai (1997).

 

 

 

Beyond acting, Raageshwari also established herself in the Indian pop music scene. She released successful albums such as "Duniya" (1997), "Sach Ka Saath" (1998), "Pyaar Ka Rang" (1998), and "Y2K: Saal Do Hazaar" (1999), which featured popular tracks like "Pyaar Ka Rang" and "Y2K Saal Do Hazaar." She also lent her voice as a playback singer for films like One 2 Ka 4.

 

 

 

Her charismatic personality also led her to a successful stint as a television host, with shows like "Baar Baar Dekho Tum" and "MTV Ek Do Teen" on MTV, and "Kuch Kehti Hai Yeh Dhun" on Sony.

At the peak of her career in 2000, Raageshwari faced a significant personal challenge when she was diagnosed with Bell's palsy, a condition that caused facial paralysis and affected her speech. Undeterred, she dedicated herself to rehabilitation through physiotherapy, electrical stimulation, and yoga, eventually making a remarkable recovery.

 

 

 

This personal journey became a turning point in her life, leading her to delve into mindfulness and positive thinking. She has since become a motivational speaker, working with renowned figures like Jack Canfield and releasing an affirmation CD with the late Louise Hay. Her work in mindfulness has taken her to various platforms globally, including performing at the Nobel Peace Centre.

 

 

Recent Engagements and Personal Life:

In 2011, Raageshwari participated as a contestant in Bigg Boss (season 5). She continues to share her insights on mental well-being and positive thinking, advocating for the importance of valuing relationships and living mindfully. She was recently seen in the 2024 film Savi.

 

 

 

Raageshwari married London-based human rights lawyer Sudhanshu Swaroop KC on January 27, 2014, in Mumbai. The couple welcomed a daughter on February 11, 2016, and she now resides in London.
