Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Biography

Mainly known for performing Qawwali along with ghazals, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani musician, who is a popular singer in Bollywood and the Pakistani film industry. 

 

Among his several well-known songs, he has won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song titled `Dil To Bachcha Hai` from Ishqiya, along with Filmfare nominations for `Aaj Din Chadheya` from Love Aaj Kal, `Sajda` from My Name is Khan, `Teri Meri` from Bodyguard and `Jag Ghoomeya` from Sultan, in the same category. 

 

He also won the IIFA Award for Best Male Playback Singer for the song `Tere Mast Mast Do Nain` from the Salman Khan starrer Dabangg. His other noteworthy numbers include `Malal`, `Pata Yaar Da`, `Sadqay Tumhare`, `Bharday Jholy`, and `Akhiyan`. He was one of the judges in the reality shows Chhote Ustaad and Junoon. 

 

He was the first Pakistani who was invited to perform at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize and also featured in three seasons of Pakistani Coke Studio. Rahat`s 2017 Bollywood venture includes the song titled `Lag Ja Gale` from the Sanjay Dutt starrer Bhoomi, in collaboration with music director duo Sachin-Jigar.

His other releases include Raid (2018), October (2018), and Ishq My Religion (2019).
