Biography
Raj is an Indian director and writer who is known for his debut, the 2018 historical drama series 21 Sarfarosh - Saragarhi 1897, which was produced by Contiloe Entertainment and is now available on Netflix, as well as his directorial project Avrodh - The Siege Within is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book 'India's Most Fearless', and was produced by Applause Entertainment.
The show, which is currently streaming on SonyLIV, has received positive reviews from audiences and critics. Raj has worked as an assistant director on several international projects including Slumdog Millionaire, McMafia, The Hundred-Foot Journey, Eat Pray Love (India Schedule) as well as some landmark Indian productions like Neerja, Talaash, and Love Sonia.
Raj has most recently directed the second season of Avrodh which was produced by Juggernaut. Most recently, Raj has wrapped the post-production of a multi-seasonal Tipping Point show for Voot. He is working on original feature film ideas across a range of different genres.
