Rajesh Sharma
Biography
Rajesh Sharma is an Indian actor who primarily works in Malayalam cinema. Born on 1 December 1973 in Kollam, Kerala, he began his career as a theatre artist before entering films. He studied drama at Sopanam Kalakendram in Kollam and has performed in more than 50 stage productions.
Sharma made his film debut with Saira (2005) and went on to appear in films such as Annayum Rasoolum (2013), Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015), Loham (2015), Charlie (2015), Aanandam (2016), Ezra (2017), Eeda (2018), Theevandi (2018), Joseph (2018), Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019), Luca (2019) and Salute (2022).
He is also known for his performance in Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam (2023), directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and starring Mammootty. In the film, Sharma plays the bus driver accompanying the group of travellers.
Before establishing himself in cinema, Sharma received recognition for his theatre performances, including Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Best Actor awards for plays such as Ambalapravu, Makkalkoottam and Section 302 – Murder. His career reflects a strong connection between Malayalam theatre and film acting.
