Biography
Rakesh U P is an Indian music director who has worked mainly in the Kannada movie Industry. Rakesh’s previous movie to hit the theatres, his first as a music director, was Mahira, directed by Mahesh Gowda, starring actors Raj B Shetty, Chaitra Achar, and Virginia Rodrigues, released in the year 2019.
He composed the songs Theera Mouna, Nannella Kanasu, Naanu Nanena, and Yendu Halada which were part of Mahesh Gowda’s movie. The latest movie that Rakesh U P had worked on as a music director was Vikipedia, directed by Somu Hoysala, starring actors Yashvanth and Ashika Somashekar. The film is going to be released in the year 2022.
Rakesh was the music producer for the song Tanu Mana from the movie, which was written by Praveen Prakash and sung by Sanjith Hegde. Rakesh not only works in movies but also releases his music tracks and covers.
Some of the works he has published are Only You, Kelade Nimageega cover, Chori Chori Jab Nazren Mili cover, etc. Rakesh U P has also stated that he has been into stand-up comedy and interviews recently. In this field, he has worked with artists like Aishwarya Mohanraj, Rahul Dua, Rahul Subramanian, Urooj Dingankar, and Kunal Rao.
