Ramani Ranjan Das
Biography
Ramani Ranjan Das is an Indian cinematographer and Director of Photography who has worked extensively in Hindi cinema. He is particularly known for his contributions to major Bollywood productions, including PK (2014), Badlapur (2015), and Dunki (2023).
He studied at Sainik School, Bhubaneswar, and later pursued formal training in photography and cinematography. He has worked in the camera department on films such as 3 Idiots (2009), Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Johnny Gaddaar, Khiladi 786, Mohenjo Daro, Kalank, and Panipat.
Das has also served as a Director of Photography on projects including 31st October (2015) and other feature films. On Dunki, he was credited as Second Unit Director of Photography, while his work on PK included the camera department.
His career also extends to television and digital productions, with credits including Patiala Babes, Qubool Hai 2.0, and Roohaniyat. Through his work across feature films, television, and second-unit cinematography, Ramani Ranjan Das has established himself as an experienced cinematographer in the Indian film industry.
