Biography

Ramya Nambeesan is a prominent figure in the South Indian film industry, recognized for her exceptional acting prowess and melodious voice. Born on January 1, 1986, in Chottanikkara, Kerala, she has carved a niche for herself in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema.   

A Journey Through Filmdom

Ramya's foray into the film world began as a child artist in the 2000 Malayalam film Sayahnam. She went on to play supporting roles in films like Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001) and Sthithi (2002), gradually gaining recognition for her talent. Her breakthrough came with the 2006 Malayalam film Aanachandam, where she played the lead role.   

A Versatile Actress

Ramya's versatility as an actress is evident in her diverse filmography. She has essayed a wide range of characters, from the bubbly and vivacious to the intense and dramatic. Some of her notable performances include those in Chocolate (2007), Traffic (2011), and Chaappa Kurish (2011).

Her song "Muthuchippi Poloru" from the 2012 Tamil film Thattathin Marayathu became a chartbuster, further solidifying her position as a versatile artist.
