Biography
Ranjeeta Kaur is a retired Indian actress who primarily worked in Hindi cinema during the late 1970s and 1980s. She rose to prominence with her debut in Laila Majnu, where her performance earned widespread acclaim and established her as one of the leading actresses of her era.
Born on 22 September 1956 in Punjab, India, Ranjeeta studied at the Film and Television Institute of India before entering the film industry. She was introduced to Hindi cinema by filmmaker Nasir Hussain.
Over the course of her career, Ranjeeta appeared in several successful films, including Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Surakksha, Tarana, Aap To Aise Na The, Unees-Bees, Raaj Tilak, and Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani. She worked alongside many of Bollywood's leading stars, including Rishi Kapoor, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Jeetendra, and Dharmendra.
After stepping away from films in the late 1980s, Ranjeeta made occasional appearances in television and selected film projects. She remains remembered for her natural performances and her significant contribution to Hindi cinema during its golden commercial era.
