Biography

Ranjit Jeyakodi is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and director known for his work in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Hailing from Theni, Tamil Nadu, he developed a passion for filmmaking at a young age and pursued a degree in Visual Communication at Loyola College, Chennai. During his early years in the film industry, he worked under acclaimed director Ram, gaining valuable experience in storytelling and filmmaking techniques.

 

 

Ranjit made his directorial debut with the psychological thriller Puriyatha Puthir (2017), starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie. Although the film faced production delays before its release, it received attention for its unique narrative and suspenseful storytelling, establishing Ranjit as a promising new filmmaker.

 

 

He followed this success with Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum (2019), a romantic drama featuring Harish Kalyan and Shilpa Manjunath. The film explored the complexities of modern relationships and earned praise for its intense and unconventional portrayal of love. It also performed well at the box office, further enhancing his reputation in the industry.
