Biography

Ravi Mohan, born on September 10, 1980, in Tirumangalam, Madurai, is an Indian actor, director, and producer predominantly active in Tamil cinema. He is the son of renowned film editor A. Mohan and the younger brother of director M. Raja. Ravi completed his degree in visual communication from Loyola College, Chennai. Before entering the film industry, he trained in martial arts and Bharatanatyam, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the arts.

Acting Career
Ravi Mohan made his acting debut in the 2003 Tamil film Jayam, directed by his brother M. Raja and produced by his father. The film's success led to the addition of "Jayam" as a prefix to his stage name, becoming "Jayam Ravi." He continued to collaborate with his brother on several successful films, including M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004), Unakkum Enakkum (2006), Santhosh Subramaniam (2008), and Thani Oruvan (2015).

After a brief hiatus, Ravi returned to the screen with Bhoomi (2021), released on an OTT platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He further expanded his filmography with notable roles in Ponniyin Selvan (2022) and its sequel Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), portraying Arulmozhivarman, who later becomes the Chola Emperor Raja Raja Chola.

Directorial and Production Ventures
In August 2025, Ravi Mohan launched his own production house, Ravi Mohan Studios, marking his debut as a producer and director. His first directorial venture under this banner is An Ordinary Man, featuring actor Yogi Babu in the lead role.
