Biography

Ray Panthaki is a British actor, producer, and director of Indian descent, born on January 20, 1983, in London, England. He grew up in a working-class family, with his parents originally from India. Panthaki’s early exposure to the arts and his desire to tell compelling stories led him to pursue an entertainment career. He attended the prestigious Drama School, where he trained in acting, and quickly began to make his mark in both British and international cinema.

Career: Ray Panthaki’s career began in the early 2000s with television appearances, and he gained recognition for his role in the BBC series EastEnders (2002), where he played the character of "Amit" in a brief yet memorable arc. His success on British television helped him secure a series of roles in film and TV series across various genres.

Panthaki's breakout role came with the critically acclaimed film The Foreigner (2017), where he starred alongside Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. His performance as "Liam Hennessy," a member of a terror organization, garnered attention for his nuanced portrayal in a major Hollywood production. His growing recognition within the international film industry was solidified by appearances in films such as The Man Who Would Be Queen (2015) and Venus (2006).

In addition to his work in acting, Panthaki has expanded into producing and directing. His directorial debut came with the film The Mistress (2015), which he also wrote and produced.
