Rebecca Ferguson

Biography

Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström, professionally known as Rebecca Ferguson, is a Swedish actress best recognized for her performances as Elizabeth Woodville in The White Queen (2013) and Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015). Her role in the latter earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in an Action Movie.

Ferguson began her career in television before making her film breakthrough with Hercules (2014). She went on to appear in notable films such as Despite the Falling Snow (2016) and The Girl on the Train (2016).

In 2017, she had three major releases: the sci-fi thriller Life, the crime drama The Snowman, and the musical The Greatest Showman. While The Snowman, adapted from Jo Nesbø’s novel, was poorly received both critically and commercially, Life and The Greatest Showman performed well at the box office. Her portrayal of 19th-century Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman was particularly praised, with the film grossing over $430 million worldwide.

Ferguson reprised her role as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and later in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023). Her subsequent projects include The Kid Who Would Be King (2019), Cold Night (2020), Reminiscence (2021), and the epic sci-fi adaptations Dune (2021) and Dune: Part Two (2024), further cementing her status as a versatile and internationally acclaimed actress.
