Biography

Ria Zmitrowicz is a British actress, born on May 22, 1991, in Spain and raised in Berkshire, Surrey, and Hampshire, England. She joined the National Youth Theatre at the age of 16 and later moved to London to pursue her acting career.

Zmitrowicz developed a strong reputation in British theatre, appearing in productions including The Crucible, Arcadia, Three Sisters, The Doctor, The Welkin, Dance Nation, and The Glow. Her performance in The Doctor earned her a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Play.

Her television career includes appearances in Murder on the Home Front, Youngers, Mr Selfridge, Three Girls, The Third Day: Autumn, and Sherwood. She gained particular attention for playing Amber Bowen in the acclaimed BBC miniseries Three Girls (2017).

Zmitrowicz gained international recognition as Roxy Monke in Amazon Prime Video's science-fiction drama The Power (2023). Roxy is the daughter of powerful London crime boss Bernie Monke and becomes one of the central characters after teenage girls around the world develop the ability to generate electricity. Zmitrowicz appeared in seven episodes.

Her film credits include Kill Your Friends (2015), Teen Spirit (2018), Jellyfish (2018), 7 Days in Entebbe (2018), and Misbehaviour (2020). She later appeared as Lisa Waters in the second season of the BBC crime drama Sherwood and as Robyn Noonan in Make That Movie (2026).
