R. K. Nayyar (1931 – 8 November 1995) was an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter best known for directing stylish and successful Hindi films during the 1960s and 1970s. He is particularly remembered for his collaborations with actress Sadhana, whom he later married.

R. K. Nayyar was born in 1931 in India. He began his career in the Hindi film industry as an assistant director before establishing himself as an independent filmmaker.
