Robert Forster (July 13, 1941 – October 11, 2019) was an American actor known for his work in film and television. With a career spanning more than five decades, he became recognized for his performances in films such as Medium Cool (1969), Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), Jackie Brown (1997), and the television series Breaking Bad.

Early Life

Robert Wallace Forster Jr. was born on July 13, 1941, in Rochester, New York. He studied at the University of Rochester, where he developed an interest in acting and performing.

Before entering films, he appeared in stage productions and worked in theatre.

Film Career

Forster made his film debut in Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), directed by John Huston and starring Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor. He played Private L.G. Williams, a young soldier whose presence affects the troubled lives of the army officers and their families.
