Robin Dunne
Biography
Robin Dunne is a Canadian actor, director, and writer known for his work in film and television, particularly in science fiction and drama. Born on November 19, 1976, in Toronto, Ontario, he grew up in a family connected to the entertainment industry; his father, William Dunne, is a well-known sports broadcaster. Dunne developed an interest in acting at a young age and began his career in television commercials before transitioning to film and scripted television roles.
He gained early recognition with roles in popular youth-oriented series such as Breaker High (1997–1998), which helped establish him as a familiar face on Canadian television. Dunne later expanded into more mature and complex roles, most notably starring as Will Zimmerman in the science fiction series Sanctuary (2008–2011). His performance in the show earned praise for its emotional depth and contributed to the series’ international success.
Dunne has appeared in a wide range of television series, including The L Word, Defiance, Arrow, Once Upon a Time, and Haven. His film work includes roles in genre films such as American Psycho 2 (2002), where he played a supporting role early in his career.
