Biography

Robin Ghosh was born on 13 September 1939 in Baghdad, Iraq, to a Bengali Christian family. His father worked abroad, and the family later moved to East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), where Ghosh grew up surrounded by music and cultural influences. His mother, a trained classical singer, played a major role in nurturing his musical talent. From a young age, he developed an ear for melody and harmony, eventually becoming skilled in both singing and composition.

Beginning of His Musical Career
Robin Ghosh started his career in the 1960s and soon became one of the most recognized music composers in the Pakistani film industry. His early work displayed a unique blend of Eastern classical traditions and modern arrangements, a combination that quickly attracted directors and producers.
