Savage gained international attention with Host (2020), a supernatural horror film made during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film follows a group of friends who conduct an online séance that takes a terrifying turn. Its innovative use of video-chat technology and effective storytelling received widespread acclaim.
He followed this success with Dashcam (2021), a found-footage horror film, and The Boogeyman (2023), an adaptation of Stephen King's short story. The Boogeyman follows a family confronted by a sinister supernatural entity after a traumatic event.
