Biography

Rohit Kumar Paudel, born on September 6, 2002, in Nawalparasi, Nepal, has rapidly ascended to become a pivotal figure in Nepali cricket and currently holds the distinction of being the captain of the national team. A right-handed middle-order batsman, Paudel is known for his composed demeanor and ability to build innings.   

 

 

Paudel's talent was evident from a young age. He represented Nepal at the Under-19 level, captaining the side in the 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his debut for the senior national team in a Twenty20 International (T20I) against Kenya on March 16, 2019, at the age of just 16 years and 166 days, becoming the youngest male cricketer to play in a T20I match.

 

 

His One Day International (ODI) debut followed shortly after, on August 3, 2019, against the Netherlands. He also holds the record for being the youngest male cricketer to score an ODI half-century, achieving this feat at the age of 16 years and 213 days against the United Arab Emirates in December 2019.
