Biography
Rony David Raj, professionally known as Rony David, is an Indian actor, writer, and former physician who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He has appeared in numerous Malayalam films and is known for supporting and character roles in films such as Unda (2018), Kannur Squad, and Gumasthan.
Early Life and Education
Rony David was born in Thrissur, Kerala. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Vinayaka Mission's Medical College in Karaikal and worked as a physician at KIMS Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram before pursuing cinema more actively.
He comes from a film-oriented family. His father, C. T. Rajan, was a film producer, while his younger brother Roby Varghese Raj is a director and cinematographer.
Acting Career
Rony David began appearing in films in the mid-2000s. His early credits include Pachakuthira (2006), Chotta Mumbai (2007), Chocolate (2007), Kurukshetra (2008), Daddy Cool (2009) and Bodyguard (2010).
He subsequently appeared in films including Traffic (2011), Ayalum Njanum Thammil (2012), Karmayodha (2012), Oru Indian Pranayakadha (2013), Vettah (2016), Apoorvaragam, Helen (2019), Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha (2019), Love (2020), Nizhal (2021) and Vaashi (2022).
One of his notable performances came in Unda (2019), in which he played Aji Peter. He later appeared in 2018 (2023) and Kannur Squad (2023), further increasing his visibility among Malayalam film audiences.

In addition to acting, Rony David has worked as a screenwriter. He co-wrote Kannur Squad (2023) with his brother Roby Varghese Raj and Mohammed Shafi. The film became an important project in his career, combining his acting and writing talents.
