R.S. Prasanna is an acclaimed Indian director and screenwriter, best known for his work in both Tamil and Hindi cinema. Born in Chennai, he graduated in engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and later pursued filmmaking.
Prasanna made his directorial debut in 2013 with the Tamil film Kalyana Samayal Saadham, which focused on the sensitive issue of erectile dysfunction in a comedic context. The film was well-received for its fresh approach to a taboo subject.
He gained further recognition with the Hindi remake Shubh Mangal Savdhan (2017), produced by Aanand L. Rai. The film was a hit, showcasing his flair for handling unconventional subjects with humor and sensitivity.
