Ruturaj Shinde is an Indian actor and a theatre artist who has acted in films, television, and web series. He works mainly in Hindi and Marathi. Ruturaj Shinde was born to Shekhar Shinde and Dr.Sujata Shinde.
His love for acting began very early when he went up on the stage in his kinder garden days. Since then, he has been doing theatre plays and started pursuing acting from his high school days. Ruturaj Shinde completed his education at Bharati Vidyapeeth Organization, Pune, Maharashtra.
In 2011, he flew to England to study for his Masters of Science in International Business and Management at The University of Salford. Even in England, he continued doing theatres and performed dramas at the International Theatre Festival in Italy.
Ruturaj Shinde has won the Outstanding Actor Supporting Role at the Thespo X Mumbai theatre festival. Upon returning to Pune, Ruturaj Shinde actively performed in plays and short films.
He appeared in the character Sujay in the award-winning short film Nital in 2013. In the 2014 American sports film Million Dollar Arm, Ruturaj Shinde got featured briefly. He played a significant role in the Marathi Science fiction film, Phuntroo, directed by Sujay Dahake.
In the same year, 2016, he took up the character of Khali in the movie CRD. 2017 saw the release of the films Chi Va Chi Sau Ka, in which he served in the part of Raj, and Hampi, where he portrayed the character Raaj. Ruturaj Shinde has acted in Zee Yuva’s television drama Freshers, and the TV series YOLO–You Only Live Once.
He has played supporting roles in a few movies like Cycle, Ashleel Udyog Mitra Mandal, and Stirling Pulling. In 2019, Ruturaj Shinde performed in the TV series Safe Journeys as Shubh. His next release was Pandu, a television series where he acted in the role of Rahul Shinde.
He has also been a part of the ZEE5’s original web series Kaale Dhande. In the 2020 Netflix’s coming-of-age web series, Mismatched, Ruturaj Shinde got roped into playing an important role.
Starring Prajakta Koli, and Rohit Saraf in the lead roles, Mismatched is based on the novel, When Dimple Met Rishi. Ruturaj Shinde appeared in the character Momo in the series. The series is a colossal hit, particularly because of the perfect casting. Ruturaj Shinde hosts a show called Game of Dosts on YouTube.
