Sagarika Ghatge was born on January 8, 1986, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. She is a descendant of the Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur, a prominent royal family. Sagarika spent her early years in Kolhapur before moving to Mumbai for her education. She completed her schooling at Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, and later pursued higher education in Mumbai.

Her royal lineage and disciplined upbringing gave her a strong foundation, but Sagarika carved her own identity in the entertainment industry, becoming a successful actress and model.
