Sagarika Ghose
Biography
Sagarika Ghose (born 8 November 1964) is a prominent Indian journalist, columnist, author, and Member of Parliament. With a career in journalism that began in 1991, she has worked with leading media organizations such as The Times of India, Outlook, and The Indian Express. She has also served as the deputy editor of CNN-IBN and was a prime-time anchor on Question Time India for BBC World and CNN-IBN.
Sagarika is a recipient of multiple journalism awards and has authored two novels and notable biographies, including Indira: India's Most Powerful Prime Minister and a 2022 biography of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. From 2014 to 2020, she was the Consulting Editor for The Times of India.
Education
Sagarika completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, and pursued a BA in History from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. She was awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship in 1987, earning a BA in Modern History from Magdalen College, Oxford, and an MPhil from St Antony's College, Oxford.
