Sahil Takhi

Biography

Sahil Takhi is an Indian actor from Chandigarh, born on 26 September 1984. Before entering the entertainment industry professionally, he worked as an assistant professor at an engineering college. His interest in performing began during his engineering studies, when he first performed as a stand-up comedian and joined his college theatre club.

From 2016 onward, acting gradually became his profession. He completed a one-year certification course in acting from Chandigarh Art Theatre and has remained actively involved in theatre. He has performed lead roles in stage productions such as Kanyadaan, Sari Raat, Dedh Inch Upar, and Thy Work Is Done, among others.

Takhi began appearing on television in cameo and supporting roles in Punjabi serials. His early credits include Khasma Nu Khani, Kamli Ishq Di, Tera Rang Chadiya, and Akhiyan Udeek Diyan. He also appeared in a crime series broadcast on Star Bharat and featured in the PTC Box Office telemovie Dor.

His film career began with the Punjabi movie Thana Sadar, directed by Vikram Thori, in which he played a supporting role as a militant. He subsequently appeared in several web projects, including Chandigarh Girls, directed by Kirpal Sain, Backstage Boys, directed by Harjit Ricky, and Dil Bekaraar, directed by Habib Faisal.

One of his notable later appearances was in the Balaji Motion Pictures production U-Turn, directed by Arif Khan and released on ZEE5. He played Rajan Sodhi, a police officer, in the thriller.

Takhi has also been associated with projects such as Aghat, directed by Nikhil Bhat, and Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, in which he appears as a police officer.
