Saji Surendran
Biography
Saji Surendran is an Indian film and television director who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. Born on 19 July 1977 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, he began his career directing television serials before moving into feature films.
He directed several popular television serials, including Manasam, Megham, Aalippazham, Mandharam, Daya and Ammakkay. He also worked as an assistant director to filmmaker Viji Thampi during the early part of his career.
Saji made his feature-film directorial debut with Ivar Vivahitharayal (2009), starring Jayasurya and Bhama. He followed it with the comedy Happy Husbands (2010), featuring Jayaram, Indrajith Sukumaran and Jayasurya. The film became a major commercial success.
His other notable films include Four Friends (2010), Kunjaliyan (2012), Husbands in Goa (2012), Angry Babies in Love (2014) and She Taxi (2015).
