Salma Hayek is a Mexican and American actress, producer, and director, born on September 2, 1966, in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico. She began her career in Mexico, starring in the popular telenovela Teresa (1989), before moving to Hollywood to pursue international stardom.

 

 

Hayek gained widespread recognition for her role in Desperado (1995) and cemented her status as a leading actress with Frida (2002), a biographical film about artist Frida Kahlo, for which she received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations.
