Biography

Sandeep Francis is known for Drishyam 2 (2022), IB 71 (2023) and Khuda Haafiz (2020).

 

Sandeep Francis is a renowned Editor in Bollywood. He has been a part of this industry since the year 2005 when his first movie as an assistant editor was released. The name of the movie was Mangal Pandey: The Rising, a biopic on the famous Freedom Fighter. Then in the year 2006, he edited a very famous movie called “Taxi Number 9211”. It was a comedy movie starring John Abraham and Nana Patekar in lead roles. 

 

The film was a huge success. Then in the year 2007, he had been a part of the editorial department of six films. Like, in the film Red: The Dark Side, he was the promo editor. In the film Hattrick, he was the assistant director.

 

In the film Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi, he was the assistant director. Then he was the associate director in the film MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar. He was the main editor in two films namely Red: The Dark Side and Fear. So the year 2007 was a very prosperous year in his career. In the year 2008, he was the promo editor and editor in the movie Superstar.

 

 In the year 2009, he was the promo editor in the film ”What’s Your Rashee” starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra. In the same year, he was the promo as well as the lead editor in the movie named “Fast Forward”. It was a big hit, and the movie was critically acclaimed and received a lot of praise. In 2010, he was the promo editor of the film Tum Milo Toh Sahi.

 

In the same year, he was the head editor of two movies namely Right Yaa Wrong and Allah Ke Bande. In the year 2011, he was the promo editor of the movie Azaan. Azaan was a critically acclaimed movie and had been nominated for various awards. 

 

In the same year, he was the editor of a short film called God Is Dead. In the year 2014, he was part of some of the biggest movies of that year. He was the additional editor of the Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick, and he also edited the movie Manjunath, based on a true incident. These movies were some of the biggest hits of that year. In 2016, he edited the movie Zorawar which marked the debut of Yo Yo Honey Singh as an actor. In 2016, he also edited the movie Mohenjo Daro, starring Hrithik Roshan. The movie created a lot of buzz that year.
