Career
Sameer Abdul made his screenwriting debut with Adventures of Omanakuttan (2017), directed by Rohith V. S. He conceived the story and co-wrote the screenplay and dialogues. The film starred Asif Ali and Bhavana and introduced his interest in unconventional narrative ideas.
He reunited with Rohith V. S. for Iblis (2018), a fantasy comedy-drama. Abdul contributed the screenplay and dialogues, further establishing his reputation for imaginative storytelling.
His breakthrough came with Rorschach (2022), directed by Nissam Basheer and starring Mammootty as Luke Antony. The psychological thriller was praised for its unconventional narrative, mysterious characters, and dark atmosphere.
In 2026, Abdul wrote I, Nobody, directed by Nissam Basheer and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu. The action-crime thriller continued his collaboration with Basheer and was released in July 2026.
