Sam Ewing

Biography

Sam Ewing is a composer based in Los Angeles, known for his work in film, television, and video games. He gained significant recognition for composing the score for the 2024 AMC limited series "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live." In this project, he collaborated with and was produced by the Emmy and BAFTA-winning composer Bear McCreary, with whom Ewing previously co-scored seasons 10 and 11 of the original "The Walking Dead" series and contributed additional music to earlier seasons.   

 

 

Before his work on "The Walking Dead" franchise, Ewing started his career by working with Bear McCreary. He has since established himself as a composer in his own right, with credits including the scores for the romantic comedy films "Beautiful Disaster" and "Beautiful Wedding," as well as the thriller "Last Seen Alive" starring Gerard Butler. He also composed the score for the horror film "Slotherhouse," which earned him a nomination for Breakout Composer of the Year by Movie Music UK in 2023.   

 

 

In the video game realm, Ewing co-scored the "God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla" DLC for PlayStation 5. His upcoming projects include the film "Witchboard" and the podcast series "DC High Volume: Batman."
