Biography
Samvrutha Sunil is an Indian actress and television personality who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema. Born on 31 October 1986 in Kannur, Kerala, she became one of the prominent actresses in Malayalam films during the 2000s.
She made her acting debut with the Malayalam film Rasikan (2004), directed by Lal Jose, in which she appeared alongside Dileep. Her performance marked the beginning of a successful career in Malayalam cinema.
Samvrutha went on to act in several popular films, including Achanurangatha Veedu (2005), Chocolate (2007), Diamond Necklace (2012), Arabikkatha (2007), Manjadikuru (2008), Cocktail (2010), Happy Husbands (2010), and Swapna Sanchari (2011). She worked with many leading Malayalam actors and directors and became known for portraying both traditional and contemporary characters.
One of her notable performances came in Diamond Necklace, where she played Lakshmi alongside Fahadh Faasil. The film received positive attention, and her performance was well regarded.
Samvrutha also appeared in Tamil cinema, although Malayalam films remained the main focus of her career. After her marriage to Akhil Jayaraj in 2012, she took a break from acting and settled abroad with her family.
