Sandeep Sharma

Biography

Sandeep Sharma was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. He began his career in the industry at the age of 13 with his first film - The Tutti Files. Shot on a Hi8 handycam, the film was written, directed, edited, and produced by Sandeep and his cousin Sachin.

Sandeep also starred in the film as one of the main leads. An amateur film at best, The T-Files was an eye-opening moment for Sandeep as he fell in love with filmmaking.

In 2001, Sandeep's parents bought and moved into a hotel in rural Virginia. Living in a hotel for his entire high school years was an experience of its own, but it also became home to Sandeep's first production house.

The hotel, which quickly transformed into a variety of sets and overall creative atmosphere, allowed Sandeep and his three close friends to produce 5 featurettes and over 50 shorts all by their senior year.

Working under the name A STAT Film (which stood for Sandeep, Tyler, Alex, Tim), the team also went on to create a TV show - GTV, that aired weekly at their high school.

In 2005, Sandeep went to study film at George Mason University. During his freshman year, Sandeep was the creator and producer of 'The Brown Hour' a show that had a diverse staff of over 30 Mason students.

Eventually, Sandeep became the Executive Producer of the university's only student-run and produced network - The Mason Cable Network. While running the network, Sandeep also directed a brief interview with President Barack Obama (then senator) in 2007 at the university.

During college, Sandeep also kept acting which included a scene in Ridley Scott's Body of Lies and an episode of America's Most Wanted.

Shortly after graduating from George Mason in 2009, Sandeep launched Final Four Productions. Today the company has produced a variety of shorts, music videos, and shows.

In 2013, Final Four Productions announced its first feature - The Turtle Dreamers. Written by Jason Gorankoff, Sandeep is set to direct the feature, making it his first feature film.
