Sanjana Sanghi is an Indian actress and model known for her work in Hindi cinema. Rising to prominence with her leading role in Dil Bechara, she has steadily carved a space for herself in Bollywood with performances that balance vulnerability, charm, and emotional depth.

Early Life and Education

Sanjana Sanghi was born on 2 September 1996 in New Delhi, India. Raised in an academically inclined family, she excelled in her studies and was actively involved in extracurricular activities during her school years.

She completed her schooling at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and later graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, where she studied Journalism and Mass Communication. Even during her academic years, she balanced education with modeling assignments and acting projects.

Entry into Films

Sanjana’s journey into Bollywood began at a young age when she was noticed by casting director Mukesh Chhabra during a school performance. This led to her debut in the 2011 film Rockstar, directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Ranbir Kapoor. She played a small yet memorable role as Mandy.

Although it was a brief appearance, it marked the beginning of her career in the film industry.

Career Breakthrough

Dil Bechara (2020)

Sanjana Sanghi gained nationwide recognition with her first lead role in Dil Bechara, opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, the film was an adaptation of John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars.

She portrayed Kizie Basu, a young cancer patient navigating love and life. Her sensitive and heartfelt performance received praise from audiences and critics alike. The film’s release on a streaming platform during the pandemic led to record-breaking viewership, further cementing her place in the industry.
