Sarbjit Singh Cheema is an Indian-Canadian singer and actor known for his contributions to Punjabi music and cinema. With a career spanning decades, he has earned recognition for his energetic vocals, vibrant stage presence, and popular Punjabi hits that continue to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Early Life
Sarbjit Singh Cheema was born in the Jalandhar district of Punjab, India, into a Punjabi Jatt-Sikh family belonging to the Cheema clan. In pursuit of new opportunities, he moved to Canada in 1989, where he continued to develop his musical career and strengthen his presence in the Punjabi entertainment industry.
Music Career
Cheema is best known for his successful album “Chandigarh Shaher Di Kuddi”, one of the highlights of his discography. His musical style blends traditional Punjabi folk elements with modern rock influences, often incorporating Boliyan and Gidha beats to create high-energy, dance-driven tracks.
His breakout hit “Rangla Punjab”, from the album Mela Vekhdiye Mutiyare (1996), remains one of his most celebrated songs. Over the years, he delivered several chart-topping tracks, including:

He announced a new album titled “Indian Sardari”, scheduled for release in October 2016, featuring music by Tigerstyle, Rupin Kahlon, and Tru-Skool, under the labels MovieBox (UK) and T-Series (India).
