Sarah Douglas (born 12 December 1952) is an English actress known for her work in film and television, particularly for playing strong and memorable villainous characters. She was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England.
Douglas began her acting career in British television during the 1970s and gained attention for her roles in fantasy and adventure productions. Her breakthrough international role came as Ursa, one of General Zod’s Kryptonian followers, in Superman and its sequel Superman II, where she starred alongside Christopher Reeve, Terence Stamp, and Margot Kidder.
