Sathish Suresh
Biography
Sathish Suriya is an Indian film editor who has worked predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He began his career as an editor with Apt TV before joining Mani Ratnam’s production house, Madras Talkies. During his decade-long association with the studio, he apprenticed under renowned editor Sreekar Prasad and worked on films including Five Star (2002), Aaytha Ezhuthu (2004), Yuva (2004), Guru (2007), and Raavanan (2010).
Sathish made his debut as an independent editor with V. Priya’s Kannamoochi Yenada (2009). He subsequently edited films such as Naan (2012) and Oru Oorla Rendu Raja (2014). In 2016, he edited the bilingual sports dramas Irudhi Suttru and Saala Khadoos, creating separate cuts suited to the Tamil and Hindi versions. He later worked on Soorarai Pottru (2020), for which he received a Critics' Choice Film Award nomination for Best Editing.
