Satyanshu Singh
Biography
Satyanshu is a National Award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, poet, and educator. Alongside his brother Devanshu, he wrote, edited, produced, and directed Tamaash, a 32-minute Kashmiri film that was showcased at numerous international festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying Heartland Film Festival in Indianapolis, USA. Tamaash garnered eleven awards at festivals held in Osaka, Florence, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Venezuela, Stuttgart, Kerala, and Bangalore, and received a National Film Award (Special Jury Mention) in May 2014.
Satyanshu also contributed lyrics to Bollywood films, penning “Life yeh mausambi-si” for Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012) and “Door” for Sulemani Keeda (2014). In addition to his creative work, he leads screenwriting and directing workshops, such as those organized by Avid Learning under the Essar Group, and has been teaching Understanding Cinema to Bachelors in Mass Media students at Mumbai University-affiliated colleges since 2011.
